Our Story
Peace of Mind Shade & Screens [POMSS], Wellington, is a family owned and operated business established by Nicholas Meatyard in 2008.
Initially created to bring the well respected Australian made Crimsafe Security Screen to New Zealand. Crimsafe is a security screen that does exactly what it says and what you’d expect - keep unwanted visitors out.
Having discovered the product while house hunting with his sister in Australia and being so impressed with the quality and clean lines of these security screens Nicholas’ research took him to the Crimsafe headquarters in Brisbane, where it had been developed by a couple of passionate Australians committed to creating a superior security screen to blow the Australian standards out of the water.
POMSS is New Zealand’s only authorized manufacturing licensee here in NZ.
With a factory in Wellington we are passionate about keeping Kiwi families and homes safe and secure.
As the POMSS name and reputation for quality product and customer service grew so did our range of other well respected product brands offering high performance that stand up to the test of time.
Nichola can’t do it all on his own so behind the scenes are his two sons Bradley and Taylor. Being a family owned and operated business our team strive every day to ensure customers receive a professional service to match our quality products.
Proudly providing customers with advice based from first hand experience accumulated over 17 years in the business we are able to provide free on-site measure and quotes right through to using our own in-house installers for all products we stand behind.
